NWCSD is an approved and contracted provider of Westchester County Department of Health for Early Intervention and CPSE Related Services. Early Intervention Services are available to children less than three years of age who have or are suspected of having a developmental delay and/or disability. There is no cost to the families of children who are approved to receive services by the Westchester County Department of Health or the "Committee for Preschool Special Education", however health insurance will be accessed for reimbursement. Eligibility can only be established by state approved agencies with an active contract with Westchester County. If a child is found eligible, all needed EI services are identified in collaboration with the parent and approved by Westchester County and are arranged by Westchester County. Early Intervention Services are funded and regulated by NYS Department of Health and Education and by the Westchester County Department of Health. When EI services are delivered in a child care setting or community location that requires a fee, the parent is responsible for paying any costs associated with such settings or locations. If you wish to refer a child who resides in Westchester County for evaluation or services please call 914-813-5094.
